Easy Creamy Balsamic Dressing Without Mayonnaise
Inside: Looking for a creamy balsamic dressing without mayo? This easy homemade version is smooth, tangy, and blends up in minutes.

Love making your own salad dressing? Me too. I make our house White Balsamic Vinaigrette every single week (and get compliments whenever guests have it).
But when I’m craving something thick and creamy, this is the one I whip up. It’s made in minutes and doesn’t include any mayo.
Here’s why you’ll love this dressing

- Simple ingredients
- Olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar
- Yogurt
- Maple syrup
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic
- Salt + pepper
- Ready in 5 minutes
- Makes about 10 servings (serving = 2 tablespoons)
- Easily adjust ingredient amounts up or down
- Great for salads, grain bowls, and meal prep

Variations
- Swap maple syrup for honey
- Use less maple syrup
- Add less oil: I recommend no less than 1/2 cup for best results
- Use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic if that’s what you have
Creamy Balsamic Dressing
Blend up this creamy, tangy homemade dressing in minutes using a handful of simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a blender* until fully combined.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use within 1-2 weeks.**
Notes
*You can mix this dressing by hand, but you won't get the same thick, creamy consistency. It's much better mixed in a blender!
**Dressings made with olive oil will harden in the refrigerator. It will liquify again if you simply set out your dressing to come to room temperature before a meal or place the jar in a bowl of warm water.
