You only need a few simple ingredients:

- Dry milk powder
- Powdered sugar
- Cocoa
- Cornstarch
- Salt
Whisk the ingredients together in a medium bowl and consider sifting it too. The cornstarch helps to prevent clumping, but sifting all the ingredients can help even more.
Then portion into jars or other airtight containers (a funnel helps keep things neat).

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup cocoa, Dutch-process preferred, though I used regular
- 2 1/2 cups powdered milk
- 1 t. salt
- 2 t. cornstarch
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and incorporate evenly.
- Place 1-2 heaping tablespoons of mix (more or less to taste) into a mug with 8 ounces hot milk. Stir well to combine.
