In April, a box of books landed on my doorstep and I almost fainted. In a good way.
After months of writing and recipe testing (and tasting), l’m thrilled with the finished product: Cooking Light Dinnertime Survival Guide. I’ve also been thrilled to hear from so many of you about it. You tell me the book is down-to-earth and real, that the recipes are easy, fast, and big hits with your family. And you tell me that the book is fun to read. That makes me ridiculously happy.
You also send me pictures, including some of the recipes you’ve made. Here are a few:
While writing Dinnertime Survival Guide
, you–my Real Mom Nutrition readers–were a source of ideas and inspiration. Thank you for cheering me on and for your support and enthusiasm for the book. It has truly meant the world to me. THANK YOU!
Haven’t bought the book? There are just a handful of copies still available on Amazon right now, so snatch one up!
If you’d like to hear me chat about the book, mealtime craziness, kitchen shortcuts, and my checkered past as a picky eater, check out some recent shows I’ve done:
All Sides With Ann Fisher: I’m a public radio fan, so I was excited to be a guest on a show here in Columbus that I listen to as well. Hear me chat about the book, answer questions from listeners, and confess to after-hours ice cream indulgences–all the while gesturing wildly with my hands (there’s a camera in the studio). My segment starts at 16:24.
Cooking With The Moms Podcast: I had so much fun talking to fellow dietitians Liz and Janice, aka the Meal Makeover Moms. Their podcasts include a ton of helpful info and recipe ideas. In podcast episode #246, we chat about the book, soccer snacks, and the trendy superfood ingredient I just can’t handle.
Another Mother Runner Radio: Do you know Dimity and Sarah? They are two badass mother runners who have a ginormous following with very good reason. Tune in to hear Dimity and I discover our shared childhood love for Steak-Umms, plus my advice for handling finicky eaters.
