This is the final day of my 4 Days of Giveaways! I’m hosting a different giveaway every day.
I don’t know about you, but the first time I made quinoa for my family, they were not thrilled.
Sure, they liked it in these cookies, but straight-up quinoa did not exactly go over like gangbusters (though these quinoa pizza bites are on the menu for this week!).
That’s why I was so excited to sample these frozen whole grain blends from Village Harvest at a food expo last fall, especially the ones that combine familiar grains with left-of-center varieties–like Brown Rice & Red Quinoa and Farro & Red Rice. Even better, most of the cooking’s already been done. They’re pre-cooked, frozen, and ready to heat.
Their frozen whole grains are available at Whole Foods Markets, though not yet in every state. But Village Harvest also makes a line of dry rices and grains that are stocked in many major supermarkets and include Golden Quinoa, Jasmine Rice, and Basmati Rice. (Find out if your store carries them here.)
Today’s giveaway: A coupon for a FREE Village Harvest product to three readers.
To enter, leave a comment at the end of this post telling me your favorite grain side dish. To increase your odds, you can also:
- “Like” Real Mom Nutrition on Facebook here, then leave me another comment telling me that you did.
- “Like” Village Harvest Rice on Facebook here, then leave me another comment telling me that you did.
- Tweet about the giveaway, then leave me another comment that includes a copy of your tweet.
The giveaway ends Thursday, March 22 at noon. I’ll choose a winner at random through Random.org‘s number generator.
Disclaimer: Village Harvest provided me with the coupons, plus one for myself.
